These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CATENOT.ES (the "app"), available at https://catenot.es and as an Android app. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
CATENOT.ES is a personal, tree-structured note-taking app. Notes are stored locally on your device (offline-first). The app optionally lets you back up your notes to your own Google Drive account, using a hidden application-data folder that only CATENOT.ES can access.
You retain full ownership of everything you write or upload in the app (note text, images). We do not access, view, or claim any rights over your note content. It stays on your device unless you choose to back it up to your own Google Drive.
You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or to store content that infringes on the rights of others.
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that your data will never be lost — you are responsible for keeping backups of anything important to you (the optional Google Drive backup feature exists for this purpose).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CATENOT.ES and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data.
If you enable the Google Drive backup feature, your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's own Terms of Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on what that feature accesses.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
